Amplify Intelligence, included with your Amplify subscription, is free to use, and Free tier users can access their data in the Giving application, as well as basic Form creation, directly from the Amplify dashboard.
Core Capabilities
Amplify Intelligence is a chatbot that lives on the Amplify Dashboard that helps churches quickly access insights, automate tasks, and interact with their ministry data using natural language. It is an AI tool designed to help churches and ministry staff work more efficiently.
At its core, Amplify Intelligence provides quick insights by interpreting data stored in your Amplify program. The data and modules Amplify Intelligence can access will grow over time, but are currently limited to your Amplify Account and Giving. This Giving data includes offline giving and payments entered manually into People.
Tools
Amplify Intelligence has access to tools that simplify common tasks related to Giving, Form creation, and Amplify account maintenance.
- Giving Summary: Generate donor giving summaries and trends directly from the Amplify Intelligence prompt screen using conversational prompts.
- Create Express Form: Use conversational prompting to have Amplify Intelligence create a brand-new Giving form for your organization.
- Resend Invites: If your Amplify users have not responded to a previous invitation to create their accounts for Amplify, use a prompt for Amplify Intelligence to resend those invitations to your new users.
Rate Limits
Ministry Brands offers Free and Premium tiers for Amplify Intelligence usage. The Free tier allows an organization to ask about 50 questions per day. If you exceed this limit, we will notify you on screen that you've reached it and invite you to use the service again the next day.
A Premium tier of service is available should an organization routinely exceed the daily free limit. The Premium tier may also include usage limits such as message caps, especially during peak demand. A Ministry Brands Account Executive can discuss the Premium tier of service with organizations that are meeting the daily free limit.
How to Use
Amplify Intelligence behaves like other popular AI chatbot tools. Ask Amplify Intelligence a question, and it will reply in plain English.
Amplify Intelligence has included quick question buttons for commonly requested items, like "Show me trends for recurring donations for the past 12 months", "Which donors have become inactive in the past month?", "Who are my top donors in the past month?" and more.
As with other popular AI chatbots and research tools, specificity and detail in a question is key to acquiring the best possible answer.
Here are some tips for improving your prompt:
- Start Simple and Iterate
- Vague prompts lead to vague results. Clearly state what you need, including the specific topic and desired outcome. If you want a list, ask for a list. If you want a top 10, ask for a top 10. If you don't get back the information you expected, tweak the prompt and try again.
- Be Clear and Specific
- Instead of asking "Who gave this week?", ask "Which givers from this past week did not give in the previous 4 weeks?" or "Which givers gave to X category who have previously given to Y category?"
- Use Examples and Constraints
- Instead of asking for a list of givers, ask instead, "Generate a list of givers to categories A, B, and C. Include the name, email address, total amount given, and a subtotal for each category listed." This will return the specific information requested, rather than every available detail about every giver.
- Reuse Successful Patterns
- Previously used prompts are stored in the Amplify Intelligence chat screen, which appears after you first submit a prompt from the Amplify Dashboard. On your computer, keep a library of prompts that worked particularly well, then adapt them for new tasks.
- Experiment with Variations
- Experiment with slightly rephrasing your prompts. Each submission is considered separately and may produce a different answer. Testing different approaches can help you identify the most effective prompt for your needs.
